June Fashion Preview

Hey, Fairy friends! Summer’s just a flap, flit and a flutter away, and so are new fashions! The June shop collections arrive one week from today, just in time for the Garden Tea Party. You’ll look pixie perfect for the occasion in the wonderful outfit pictured above, coming to the Pixie Post Office! We can also look forward to new sunny and throwback styles at Summit Style and, of course, teatime outfits at Cassie’s Costumes. Plus, Bella’s Baubles will have new twirly and ribbon accessories!
As always, many items will be leaving the shops to make room for these new collections, so be sure to pick up anything you’ve had your eye on this week!

Okay, looks like the Garden Tea Party is coming up... YAAAY! Yep, check out the updated Calendar by clicking here.
That nice outfit above in gonna be in the PPO sometime soon, so get anything you want from there before it's gone! Seems like lots of things will be leaving stores, so be sure to pick up your Sakura Kimono and butterfly outfits from Summit Style (if you want 'em). And I can't wait to see what's coming to Cassie's! It's actually one of my favorite stores. ;)

Also, the bracelet Marina is wearing will probably be one of those coming soon to Bella's Baubles...

Thanks to everybody who rose to the plant-tastic challenge and sent in their Fairy Garden! The amazing snapshots included flowing waterfalls, gorgeous gazebos, garden tea parties, concerts, and more. Check out our favorites, including Crystal Moonbeam’s garden pictured above, and maybe you’ll get some ideas for your own Fairy Garden. I know I’m inspired!

 

In celebration of Nature Days, there’s a seed packet giveaway for your Fairy Gardens in the Ballroom. Members, be sure to pick it up by June 6!

Kit Visits!

I managed to fly into the hollow for Kit's visit on Sunday!

We ended up playing a little game! Kit would say something and we had to tell her if it was recyclable or not. :)

Show paper if it's recyclable...

Yeah, totally!

Magazines are recyclable :)

Therefore, pizza boxes aren't recyclable... No broken glass either!

Yes, yes I do.

Someone suggested a fashion contest, so Kit chose the theme: Nature.

It was absolute chaos as everybody tried to show Kit their outfits!

The winner was somebody named Koko, but nobody could figure out where she was :)

Kit reminded us all to do her Nature Days quest, because...

...You get a badge!

We had a little nature-themed pep rally...

Then Kit reminded us all about the new contest!

Sadly, I had to leave after that D:

Seeing Kit was really cool and fun! I hope I'll get to meet lots more famous fairies in the future.

Okay, I'm really not much of a pink/purple person, but Pixie Hollow always seems to do a better job with pink and purple hues than blue. Not really fair...

The Fairy Art for Nature Contest is now open for entries! This is your chance to show off your creativity while doing something super flitterific for the environment – we’ll plant a seed for every drawing we receive (one entry per account!), and ten grand prize winners will receive 500 Pixie Diamonds.
Here are some more ways you can help nature:

• Save paper by drawing your Fairy Art for Nature entry on the computer.
• Unplug your computer when you’re not using it. Your computer can use up energy even when it’s turned off!
• Say no to plastic bags! Instead, take reusable bags with you when you go shopping.
• Tell a friend about Nature Days.

"Fairy Art for Nature" Contest

Enter for a Chance To Win AND Make a Difference in Nature!

Pixie Hollow is making a difference in nature - and so can you with original, nature-themed art! For every drawing* we receive, we will team up with the folks at Tree People, a nonprofit environmental group, to plant a seed. The more entries we receive, the bigger difference we will make in nature!
To enter, create an image of a Fairy or Sparrow Man making a difference in nature and submit your design between now and noon (PST) on June 13, 2012. Get creative and you just might be one of our ten GRAND PRIZE winners, who will each receive 500 Pixie Diamonds for their online Fairy!

There are two ways you can enter the contest:

• Print out the Mail-In Entry Form fill it in, and mail it to us with your design or
• Send us your entry on the computer using our Online Entry Form.

I guess that the quest was okay, but, like pretty much all the mainland quests, was a tad bit boring. Still, it could've been worse!
